Lighthouse is a holiday club for children which is run for one week during the summer holidays. Lighthouse was started in Great Missenden in 1987, since then it has spread and ‘daughter’ Lighthouses now run in surrounding areas. Lighthouse is an ecumenical Christian enterprise.
Children of other faiths, or no faith are welcome to attend, on the understanding that they must attend all sessions, including Biblical teaching.
Each child is put in a group of about 10 children of the same age, the group has an adult Lighthousekeeper and one or more teenage Lamplighters to help with the activities and to ensure that every child has a good time and gets as much as possible out of their week at Lighthouse. |
