- I would like to help at Lighthouse but I have young children, can they come to Lighthouse?
Of course, but it is important that all children of helpers are registered as early as possible. There is a crèche for children of helpers who are too young to join a Lighthouse group. Once general registration of children has started it may be difficult for us to fit your children in.
- I am aged 11 but would like to help at Lighthouse, is this possible
No, we're sorry but young helpers need to have been at secondary school for at least one year, so you will need to be aged 12 by 31st August 2010 to be able to help. The programme of activities for 11 year olds at Lighthouse will include a period of ‘work experience’ to give you an opportunity to see what it is like being a Lamplighter.
